Buyurdi

Of course, Greek cuisine tastes best when tasted in Greece. You will find buyurdi in almost any Greek tavern. This dish will be cheap and with bread it can become a whole dinner for a slightly hungry tourist. I love it for the simplicity of the cooking process and at the same time rich taste which largely depends on the cheese that you use.

My tips and tricks:

If you don’t have a baking dish or if you want to try buyurdi grilled over an open fire (this is very tasty!), then wrap it in foil. Just remember to tighten the foil so that the liquid does not leak.

Alla Plachkova’s wine recommendations

Alla Plachkova’s wine recommendations:

I recommend white semi-dry wine Riesling Kolonist. Produced from Rhine Riesling grapes from plantations of TM “Kolonist”. The wine has a fresh, bright aroma with notes of white peach, apricot, and elegant notes of mango. Soft, sweetish taste, with subtle mineral tones, gradually turns into a pleasant fruity aftertaste. It goes well with soft and hard cheeses, pâtés, fish, and Asian cuisine. Serving temperature: from +8 to +10°С.
