Figs and goat cheese are a classic combination. On a bread toast like in our recipe, it will be a snack. If you bake just figs and cheese, you get a dessert. Either way, the flavour combination is fantastic. And if you add fragrant honey, then this dish does not need any additional tweaks. Unless you have in mind a glass of cold white wine and a pleasant conversation 😉

Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- 200 g hard goat cheese
- 6 fresh figs
- 4 tbsp lavender honey or another honey with a bright aroma
Cooking method
Step 1
Heat the oven to 200°C. Slice the baguette. Cover a baking tray with parchment, place bread slices and grate goat cheese on top of each. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Slice the figs. Place 2-3 pieces of figs on each canapé. Drizzle with lavender honey and serve immediately.
My tips and tricks:
It is better to use goat cheese for this dish. But if you haven’t found a hard one, you can take any other goat cheese you find in the store. It will do perfectly. The recognizable aroma of goat milk adds zest to this canapé.
