Lesson “Viva Italia!”
18.09.2011
We continued to get acquainted with the basics of Italian cuisine during the second lesson of our first “school year”. This time chef Konstantin Rossoshenko decided to show us what else could be prepared from the pasta dough, which we made during the previous lesson. This time we cooked lasagna bolognese, cannelloni and, familiar to us all from childhood, but no less Italian for this, dessert – chocolate salami. In full accordance with the basic principle of our school, during the lesson we all cooked together, and then we all had lunch together, happily eating our culinary masterpieces. J So during the cooking process we not only watch what the chef does and how he does it, but we also do many processes on our own so it would be easy to repeat them later at home. During the lesson, we used deep ceramic forms, and now we know what cookware is the best for baking lasagna or cannelloni. At the end of the lesson, we tasted limoncello we prepared during the previous lesson and, as it is customary for people from Odessa, each took home a chocolate salami “for the grandmother who couldn’t come” 🙂 We also tasted the Lenotti Bardolino DOC Classico wine specially selected for the lesson menu by sommelier Ksenia Yangulova, Goodwine company.
